Thank you for your interest in serving on the WWRA Board of Directors

 Dear Prospective Board Member:

Thank you for your interest in the Washington Wildlife Rehabilitation Association (WWRA) and in serving on the WWRA Board of Directors. Board members are non-paid positions that are elected by the membership and are working positions, not honorary positions.

The WWRA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization formed in 2006 that provides a collective voice dedicated to advancing professional wildlife rehabilitation in Washington State through education and community building.

The WWRA supports the science and profession of wildlife rehabilitation and its practitioners through:

  • Fostering continued improvement of wildlife rehabilitation.

  • Disseminating knowledge through meetings, reports, publications, symposia, and other means.

  • Providing support to its members through networking and mentoring.

  • Promoting educational programs, teaching natural history, and explaining the kinship among all living things.

  • Promoting cooperation between professional and governmental agencies, wildlife rehabilitators, and the public at large.

Below you will find requirements for Board nominees and members, and application and election procedures. Please contact John at nominating@wwrawildlife.org for further details. Thank you again for your interest and we hope you will decide to join the WWRA Board of Directors. We look forward to receiving your application and resume.

Sincerely, WWRA Board of Directors
