WWRA Rehabilitation Conference

The Fifth Annual Washington Wildlife Rehabilitation Conference will be held in the fall of 2008. More details will be provided very soon.

The fourth annual Washington Wildlife Rehabilitation Conference was held on February 4th, 2007 in the Washington Park Arboretum Graham Visitors Center for fun, food, learning and networking. It was lovely to see people talking, comparing notes, sharing stories, and welcoming new people into the WWRA.

Attendees at the conferences included wildlife rehabilitators, volunteers, educators, biologists, naturalists, and students.

Past conference topics have included interpreting serum chemistries, oiled wildlife in Washington, raptor pre-release conditioning, marine mammal stranding, wolves, lead poisoning in swans, rehabilitation of crows and bats, zoonotic diseases, environmental enrichment, educational and volunteer topics, avian influenza, baylisascaris procyonis, leptospirosis, tularemia, and the plague, environmental enrichment in rehabilitation, natural history of bats and use of animal artifacts as tools for wildlife education.
